Pinwheels for Prevention

Prevent Child Abuse America’s positive campaign for Child Abuse Prevention Month introduced the pinwheel as a symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention.

The blue pinwheels represent community dedication to healthy families and the healthy development of children nationwide.  The pinwheels represent the “winds of change” that influence how community members and services approach abuse prevention programs and policies.  A reprioritization of policies, programs, and resources should ensure that every U.S. child has a healthy, safe, and nurturing home.

Please place pinwheels in your lawn to represent the positive achievements within your community that directly support and protect children.

Take a Turn—Help Prevent Child Abuse in Louisiana.

Since 2008, Over 900,000 pinwheels have been displayed throughout the country.
